Sourced from one of the most celebrated and now largely exhausted localities in the Czech Republic, this old stock material is instantly recognizable by its dramatic, spiky surface texture — a characteristic so distinctive it earned the nickname "hedgehog."

Formed roughly 15 million years ago from a meteorite impact in what is now southern Germany, Moldavite is one of the rarest minerals on Earth. The Besednice deposit, nestled in the Bohemian countryside, produced specimens with an unmatched depth of texture and a rich forest-green color that collectors have chased for decades.
